East Tennessee State University Chooses Ex Libris RapidILL Resource-Sharing Service
In order to improve the interlibrary loan experience, East Tennessee State University has chosen the Ex Libris RapidILL resource-sharing service. In use at more than 330 institutions, RapidILL offers users enhanced services at signiﬁcant cost savings by eliminating various fees. It will also address the university's needs by streamlining the article-request processes through the library's ILLiad environment and providing workflow efficiencies.
As part of the worldwide RapidILL community of libraries, East Tennessee State University will participate in resource sharing at the highest level while being provided with significant cost savings.

Universidad Central Switches to Blackboard as New Online Teaching and Learning Partner
In order to drive learner engagement and student success, Universidad Central has recently chosen to switched to Blackboard Learn Ultra for their learning management system. The University will begin transitioning from its previous LMS to Blackboard this October with plans to rollout the platform to students and instructors in January 2020.
"Our decision to move to Blackboard was largely driven by the fact that their EdTech platform is nimble and can evolve to meet the complex needs of our University," said Dr. Oscar Herrera, Academic Vice Rector at Universidad Central.
Online Program Management - St. John Fisher College
St. John Fisher College and 2U, Inc. Partner to Deliver New Hybrid Doctorate of Pharmacy
The St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy and 2U, Inc. announced a partnership to deliver a new clinically-oriented hybrid Pharm.D. pathway, the first online Pharm.D. pathway offered by an institution in the state of New York.
This new hybrid Pharm.D. program will not only match the quality and rigor of the School's on-campus program, but it will be delivered in synchronous and asynchronous online formats, with immersion experiences on campus and experiential learning in clinical settings.
Textbooks - Hendrix College
Hendrix College Selects Akademos as Online Bookstore Partner
Hendrix College has selected Akademos to manage textbook adoptions and sales. Starting in the Spring 2020 semester, Akademos will provide students with a wide selection of course material format options including new, used, eBook, and rental at significant savings. Students will be able to access these materials through a new website that will be live this October 14th with orders starting to be processed on December 2nd.
This new bookstore will become a well-integrated component of the Hendrix student experience. “ […] We believe [Akademos] will provide better prices, easier access to materials, and great customer service to our students and faculty members,” says Hendrix Provost Dr. Terri Bonebright.
