Ellucian announced a new engagement with California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) to modernize the entire student life cycle from recruitment to graduation. Looking to achieve data integration across departments as well as streamlining processes, CIIS will establish a software-as-a-service (SaaS) of Ellucian Colleague.
“Implementing this solution set from Ellucian will be a huge step forward in offering students faster responses, a unified view of their degree path and its financial implications, as well as providing deep analytics-based insights for staff […]” said Judie Wexler, President of California Institute of Integral Studies.

Leiden University Chooses D2L's Brightspace Platform to Realise Vision of Educational Innovation
D2L announced that Leiden University has chosen the Brightspace platform. The University, which is seeking to deliver an ambitious teaching and learning vision and more suitably equip students for the modern world, believes it will be able to achieve such goals with the flexibility and usability provided to them by Brightspace.
“We chose Brightspace because it offered everything we needed to deliver the learning experience we envisoned for our students and help them gain the skills required for the modern world of work” said prof. Han de Winde, Chairman of the steering committee of the implementation project at Leiden University.

Workshop Held on ‘Moodle: Learning Management System’
A workshop was held last week in order to train officers and staff of the Computer Centre as well as faculty members of the University with the aim of implementing a new LMS for the 2019-2020 academic year. The Quality Mandate released last year emphasized the use of ICT tools in teaching-learning as well as the adoption of a learning management system.

University of the Sunshine Coast, in Queensland, Australia, has opted to become an early adopter of the Ex Libris Esploro. Lacking the required functionality for moving their research agenda forward, the University sought a solution which would not only streamline the management of research output, but one which would provide a robust reporting and analytics features. By implementing the Esploro platform, it will improve the institution’s disparate systems and processes as well as increasing the University’s impact of academic research.
